Photos: Wavves @ Bestival Toronto

On Friday June 12th, the UK's critically acclaimed music festival called Bestival came to Toronto Island. The music festival grounds were epic (despite being almost entirely mud due to rain) and the overall decor and installations were rad! Everything had a hand crafted touch, from the giant makeshift stars to Angus Watt's insane flags that were all handmade out of silk. It was intense to see how much work went into the festival and it definitely paid off.

One of our most anticipated acts to check out at this years inaugural festival was California's Wavves. A bit of a weird addition to the stacked electronic line up, but we're not one's to complain about getting the chance to see Nathan Williams rip it up on stage with Wavves. The band played hits mainly off King of The Beach (2010) and Afraid of Heights (2013) and closed out their set to the song "King of The Beach", which alone was worth the trip to Toronto Island.

Wavves are still touring in support of their successful and most recent studio record Afraid of Heights (via Warner Music), which you can purchase here.

Check out our photos from their set above and comment below!
