TBT: Japandroids @ Orion Music + More 2013
Remember Japandroids? We haven't heard new music from our favourite Canadian two-piece in a while, but hopefully 2016 will be the year they return \m/. This weeks Throwback Thursday takes us to Detroit, back in 2013 when I photographed Metallica's last Orion Music + More festival.
Until this show in Detroit, I never witnessed how great Japandroids live show is/was. Two dudes... absolutely killed it on stage and were more energetic than most full bands I photograph. It was a pleasure getting to shoot these guys, especially while they were touring in support of Celebration Rock (2012). If you haven't listened to that album then you're straight up not cool.
