Photos: Turnover, Citizen @ The Mod Club

Michigan / Ohio natives Citizen embarked on their 2016 North American tour with some rad support from Turnover, Sorority Noise, and Milk Teeth. The tour stopped through The Mod Club in Toronto on April 21st, 2016 where I once again had the chance to photograph Citizen (see my archived photos here) and for the first time ever... Turnover (which I was insanely stoked about).

I've been on a film photography kick lately and decided to try my hand at shooting film again after having success with Underoath's reunion show a week prior (see here).

This show was difficult to shoot. It was sold out, no pit and raging kids going nuts over both Turnover and Citizen. It was a challenge, but Turnover's low light performance processed better than I thought on film and Citizen's performance was bat shit crazy. The venue exploded the second they started playing and that had me getting crushed in the mosh pit desperately trying to get a good shot. After a song and a bit, I ended up moving back to a clear patch in the crowd and sniped a few from a distance.

I'm a huge fan of both Turnover and Citizen, so I'm stoked that I got some decent shots of them on film... real film. All photos were shot on my Nikon F100 on Kodak Portra 800 and Tri-x. See the full gallery below and let me know what you think in the comments.
