Photos: The Sheepdogs @ TURF 2016

Saskatoon's The Sheepdogs performed on Day 2 of this year's TURF (Toronto Urban Roots Festival). The western rockers are Canadian icons that immediately were catapulted to senior ranks ever since they graced the cover of Rolling Stone (the first unsigned band ever to be featured).

I remember seeing and photographing them that same year when they performed at Edgefest 2011 on a small side stage. They killed it and it was clear from the get-go that these guys were going to stick around for awhile. Fast forward five years and two full-length studio albums later (Self-titled and Future Nostalgia) and the airwaves are still buzzin' about this band.

Their performance this past weekend was one for the books, luckily the rain subsided just enough that fans didn't get completely drenched watching (but we all know they would've stuck around). I came out of hiding just in time to make it into the pit and capture some of my favourite shots of the weekend during their set.

Check out all my photos below and crank some Learn & Burn all day.
