Local punks Bad Waitress kicked off Danforth Music Hall's 100th Anniversary with a fierce performance

Toronto’s Bad Waitress opened up the night of celebrations for Danforth’s 100th Anniversary with a fierce performance before Wolf Parade closed out the night.

It’s never an easy feat to be the opening band. Playing to half a crowd is hard, but not for these lady punks. Not that their set was perfect by any means, but it was their laid back vibes and ability to play through the mishaps and kinks with zero fucks given that made the set perfectly imperfect. The all-female punk rockers charged through songs with an infectious lo-fi sound that sounded massive. They played a solid set and one that I believe people will remember (I sure as hell will).

The band recently wrapped up recording their debut full-length record with producer Dave Schiffman and it’s bound to be on your Heavy Rotation in no time.
