Job For A Cowboy Announce New Record, Share New Single "The Forever Rot"

Groundbreaking death metal group Job For A Cowboy is set to unleash their highly anticipated album, Moon Healer, on February 23rd, 2024, through Metal Blade Records. This release marks their first full-length album in a remarkable ten years. Moon Healer is a dynamic representation of the collision between creativity, aggression, and intensity, rekindling the fire that characterized their earlier works. With a revamped lineup including original frontman Jonny Davy, guitarists Tony Sannicandro and Al Glassman, bassist Nick Schendzielos, and drummer Navene Koperweis, who joined in 2020, the album seamlessly continues the legacy left by their acclaimed 2014 release, Sun Eater, showcasing a blend of multifaceted musicality, unapologetic brutality, and captivating conceptualization.

After the earlier release of their single "The Agony Seeping Storm," which showcased a mind-boggling fusion of powerful death metal with intricate riffs reminiscent of influential experimentalists like Cynic, Atheist, and Gorguts, their newest single, "The Forever Rot," takes a different direction. It starts with a haunting guitar melody, eventually transforming into reflections of bands like Obituary, Coroner, Voivod, and even traces of Neurosis. In essence, the band defies expectations, weaving vocal styles, chord structures, and melodies into a complex and intense experience.

Listen to the new track below and get hyped for the new year. February can’t come soon enough for death metal fans, the return of JFAC is BIG!
