Ducks Ltd. Release New Single And Video "Train Full of Gasoline"

Toronto-based indie pop outfit Ducks Ltd. has unveiled their latest offering with the release of their energetic new single, "Train Full of Gasoline," marking the third track from their highly anticipated upcoming album, Harm’s Way. Alongside this infectious track comes a visually captivating video directed by the talented boy wonder.

Lead vocalist and lyricist Tom McGreevy sheds light on the inspiration behind the song, citing a friend's account of the Lac Megantic rail disaster in Quebec as the starting point. McGreevy explains,

"The jumping off point for this song was a friend telling me about the Lac Megantic rail disaster in Quebec. A 73 car train full of crude oil was left unattended and rolled down a hill before derailing and exploding in a town. I read about it a bunch, and to my understanding, it was a scenario where a bunch of small errors built up and compounded each other, with the result being a catastrophe out of proportion with any of the individual failures that precipitated it."

"Train Full of Gasoline" not only showcases Ducks Ltd.'s signature sound but also features backing vocals from Julia Steiner of Ratboys and Margaret McCarthy of Moontype, along with Marcus Nuccio of Ratboys on drums.

Harm’s Way is slated for release on February 9th, 2024, through Carpark Records and is currently available for pre-order, offering eager fans a glimpse into Ducks Ltd.'s evolving musical landscape. Watch the video below:
