Tame Impala's Kevin Parker Unveils Ideation Machine "The Orchid" by Telepathic
Kevin Parker, the creative force and all seeing eye behind Tame Impala, has unveiled The Orchid. This portable “idea machine” is the first product from Telepathic Instruments, a new tech company co-founded by Parker alongside Ignacio Germade, Chris Adams, Charl Laubscher, and Tom Cosm. Designed for musicians and producers of all skill levels, The Orchid is a digital polysynthesizer that makes it easy to explore and refine melodic ideas.
Crafted with the help of renowned synth designer Stefan Stenzel, The Orchid boasts five unique modes—Strum, Slop, Arpeggiator, Pattern, and Harp—allowing users to experiment with chord progressions, textures, and rhythms. It also features reverb, chorus, and delay effects, with the ability to loop and export arrangements via MIDI for seamless integration with production software.
Limited to just 1,000 units, The Orchid will launch in December 2024, priced at $549 USD. Preorders will be available through Telepathic Instruments' official website.
Stay tuned for more updates on The Orchid and future releases from Telepathic Instruments!
