Billie Eilish Announces New Album 'Hit Me Hard and Soft'

Billie Eilish is set to release her highly anticipated third studio album, Hit Me Hard and Soft, on May 17 via Darkroom and Interscope. The album, co-written with her brother Finneas who also produced it, will not have any singles released prior to its launch. Eilish's decision to eschew the traditional single release strategy comes after her recent criticism of the environmental impact of producing multiple physical editions of albums. In an effort to reduce waste and combat climate change, the physical editions of Hit Me Hard and Soft will be released as limited variants and will use 100% recyclable materials.

The announcement of the album comes after Eilish's successful 2021 release, Happier Than Ever, and her 2023 hit, What Was I Made For? Watch the trailer and check out the album artwork below:
