Listen to "crying" by Static Dress
Static Dress are back! Kicking off a new era of the band, they’ve dropped their latest single and music video, "Crying." The post-hardcore quartet from the UK has been on an upward trajectory since their acclaimed debut album, Rouge Carpet Disaster, in 2022. Following the success of their LP, the band signed with Roadrunner Records, released a redux version of their debut, created their own video game, and supported Bring Me The Horizon on tour. Back in 2022 we managed to see their impressive live show at The Opera House supporting Loathe. Check out the photos HERE.
The new single "Crying" is accompanied by a self-directed music video that delves into complex themes. Vocalist Olli Appleyard explains that the video explores topics such as guilt, self-loathing, corporate manipulation, capitalist greed, and weaponized lust. The visuals aim to engage viewers by presenting these themes through a series of distinct scenes, moving beyond mere visual aesthetics. Watch the video below:
Static Dress continues to dominate the live music scene with an extensive touring schedule set for this year. They are coming back to Toronto’s History supporting Underoath and their 20th Anniversary Tour of They’re Only Chasing Safety.
