Coheed and Cambria Announce Co-Headline Tour with Taking Back Sunday, Drop New Single "Someone Who Can"
Progressive rock powerhouse Coheed and Cambria have unveiled their latest single, “Someone Who Can,” from their forthcoming album, The Father of Make Believe, due March 14th via Virgin Music Group. The new track is paired with a nostalgic video directed by Mason Mercer, offering fans a glimpse into the band’s early days in Nyack, New York. Vocalist Claudio Sanchez describes the song as a reflection on the ever-changing nature of life and the comfort in embracing its uncertainties.
The Father of Make Believe continues the band’s expansive Amory Wars/Vaxis narrative, building on the success of 2022’s Vaxis Act II: A Window of the Waking Mind. The album features previously released singles “Blind Side Sonny” and “Searching For Tomorrow,” as well as Claudio Covers, a collection of reimagined tracks, including The Cure’s “Just Like Heaven” and Taylor Swift’s “Welcome to New York.”
To celebrate the album, Coheed and Cambria will embark on a 25-date North American co-headline tour with Taking Back Sunday this summer. The tour kicks off August 16th in St. Louis and includes a stop at Toronto’s Budweiser Stage on August 24th. Tickets go on sale Friday, January 17th.
Fans can pre-order The Father of Make Believe now and dive into the new single “Someone Who Can” below. Stay tuned for more from Coheed and Cambria as they continue their journey through uncharted creative territory.
