Photos: Simple Plan at Air Canada Centre

Montréal pop-punk icons Simple Plan are currently on tour celebrating the 15 year anniversary of their debut album No Pads, No Helmets... Just Balls. The tour came through Toronto's Air Canada Centre on Tuesday, March 15th along with openers Set It Off and Plain White T's.

The ACC wasn't as packed as I thought it was going to be, but there was still a decent turn out for the pop punkers that have been relatively quiet since their last release Taking One For The Team (2016). Simple Plan was huge in the early 2000's and they've definitely still got it. Older yes, but these guys are seasoned vets and it was clear that they're not going anywhere anytime soon. Especially these days with bands like Good Charlotte touring again.

Pop-punk and emo are making a comeback (yup, I said it).

If you're a millennial then there's a pretty good chance you listened to Simple Plan at one point in your life and enjoyed it (admittedly or not). Props to these guys for continuing to make music that still sounds like Simple Plan. No one had a bad time at this show, if anything, it was actually great to revel in old memories with such nostalgic set.
