Cloakroom Announces New Album 'Last Leg of the Human Table' – Listen to “Bad Larry” Now
Cloakroom returns next month with their next studio album, Last Leg of the Human Table – the follow-up to 2022’s Dissolution Wave and their first release under Closed Casket Activities. The Indiana trio’s newest work dives into the chaos of modern life, exploring the fragile state of humanity through a genre-blurring mix of shoegaze, doom, post-punk, and folk.
Recorded in December 2023 with engineer Zac Montez (Whirr, Turnover), Last Leg of the Human Table pulls from an eclectic range of influences – from post-disco to NASA recordings – making it Cloakroom’s most essential and concise release to date. The album reflects on the weight we all carry, suggesting that if even one leg falters, the whole table collapses.
Today, Cloakroom unveils the lead single and video, “Bad Larry.” Described by Doyle Martin as a nod to folklore antiheroes, the track tells the story of a roamer living by his own rules, embodying a life of defiance and freedom.
